Find the sum to infinity of the series 2 frac 2... - JAMB Mathematics 2007 Question

Find the sum to infinity of the series 2 + \(\frac{2}{3}\) + \(\frac{9}{8}\) + \(\frac{27}{32}\) + ....
A
1
B
2
C
4
D
8
correct option: d
a = 2, r = \(\frac{{\frac{3}{2}}}{3}\)

= \(\frac{3}{4}\)

S\(\infty\) = \(\frac{a}{1 - r}\)

\(\frac{2}{1 - \frac{3}{4}}\)

= \(\frac{2}{\frac{1}{4}}\)

= 8
